Retailers' strike: treat them like terrorists

TAX EVASION: This is with reference to the editorial ‘Traders’ strike’ (Aug 29). It is strange that most people are not aware that evasion of taxes is a punishable crime. The only way to deal with the strikers is to treat them like terrorists. Non-filers particularly should be dealt with harshly, preventing them from voting as well as travelling abroad and making them pay 50 per cent extra in indirect taxes. This is the only way to make them see reason.
