I wasn't surprised at all that it was a PTI male member of the National Assembly who objected to the attire of Sania Dada, a female executive of the Karachi Electric. I first thought that he may have been disturbed because she was wearing a sleeveless dress, but I discovered that her only offence apparently was not covering her head and body in the all-encompassing burqa. It should be remembered that Imran Khan himself once defended rape, saying that "our men are not robots".
This kind of behavior is typical of most Pakistani men, particularly in Imran Khan's home province (KP), as they've been brought up to believe that women are responsible for all their problems. The cleric (Tariq Jamil) once blamed unveiled women (in Imran Khan's presence) for Covid. Of course Imran Khan agreed with this view, as his latest wife is always fully covered (not even her eyes are visible), even though she was a westernized woman not long ago. There are clerics who even blame jean-wearing girls for earthquakes.
I have known for long that Imran Khan and most of his party members need urgent psychiatric treatment, but unfortunately his following is so large that it's not possible.
