Killing of women

Sir: A joint director of the State Bank killed his mother with a knife after divorcing his wife the previous day. This man was obviously mentally unstable and one wonders how he was hired without having to undergo a psychiatric examination. Did his colleagues not observe that he posed a danger to all of them? How many like him are working in other government departments? Or do the majority of Pakistanis believe that killing their mothers, wives and sisters is not an issue because women are inferior beings who are responsible for all the evil in the country?
