All is not lost – yet
This refers to Kamila Hayat’s article, ‘Life
after death’ (March 13). While it’s true that the PPP is responsible for the
deaths of hundreds of children in Tharparkar, all is not lost. All that the
party leaders have to do is sell some of their properties abroad and set up a
couple of large desalination plants in Thar.
This will solve most of the problems faced by the people of the area and even if there are droughts every year, they will have enough water for agriculture and domestic consumption. But the question is, do our leaders have the will and vision to serve the poor masses?
