As if there wasn't enough already to make the world think of Muslims as morons, a Saudi judge has said that a Muslim can slap his wife if she spends lavishly. It seems that if a Saudi woman spends too much on clothes, and if her husband slaps her, she has no right to complain.
Mercifully the judge didn't say that men should cane their wives if they demand more money for personal expenses. And we should be grateful he didn't say it was OK for a man to kill his wife if she objected to him taking another wife.
